Integrations & APIs

Integrations & API Development

Our API integration services connect the software your business already runs on, so orders, contacts, payments and inventory move between systems without anyone copying and pasting. We also build custom APIs when an off-the-shelf connector can't do the job.

What API integration services solve

API integration is connecting two or more software systems through their APIs so data passes between them automatically and stays in sync. A new Shopify order creates an invoice in Xero. A paid Stripe checkout updates the customer in HubSpot. A form submission becomes a job in your field service tool.

Most businesses we meet have the right software but the wrong plumbing. Staff re-key data between tools, numbers disagree between the CRM and the accounting system, and nobody’s sure which record is correct. Fixing that usually saves more time than buying another tool. We’d rather connect the tools you have than sell you a new platform.

Intelligent Solutions Tech has built integrations and APIs for businesses in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe and Australia since 2018. We write the code, document it, and monitor it after launch.

What we build

Custom API development

REST and GraphQL APIs for your own product, mobile app or partners, with authentication, rate limits, versioning and OpenAPI documentation.

Third-party app integrations

Connections between CRMs, help desks, marketing platforms, project tools and accounting software using their official APIs.

Payment gateway integration

Stripe, PayPal and Square checkouts, subscriptions, refunds and payment webhooks wired into your site, app, CRM and books.

ERP integrations

Order, inventory, pricing and customer sync between your store or CRM and ERPs such as NetSuite, Odoo, SAP Business One or Acumatica.

Data sync and ETL

Scheduled jobs that extract data from several systems, clean and reshape it, and load it into a warehouse, Google Sheets or a reporting tool like Looker Studio.

Webhooks and event handling

Listeners that react the moment something happens in another system, with retries, logging and alerts when a message fails.

How we deliver an integration

  1. System review We list every system involved, check what each API allows, and note limits like rate caps, missing endpoints or plan restrictions.
  2. Data map and proposal You get a written map of which fields move where, which system is the source of truth for each, and a fixed scope and price.
  3. Build in a test environment We build against sandbox accounts first. You test real scenarios such as refunds, cancellations and duplicate contacts before anything touches live data.
  4. Go live in stages We switch on one flow at a time and watch the logs closely through the first days.
  5. Monitor and report Failed calls trigger alerts to us. You get a report every two weeks covering volumes, errors fixed and API changes from vendors that might affect you.

Code, no-code, or both

Not every connection needs custom code. For simple flows we often use n8n, Make or Zapier, which are quicker to build and easier for your team to adjust later.

We write custom code when volumes are high, when the logic gets complicated, when a platform’s connector is missing the endpoint you need, or when per-task pricing on a no-code tool starts costing more than a small server. We’ll show you the trade-off in the proposal.

Common integration projects

Store to accounting

Shopify or WooCommerce orders, fees and refunds posted to QuickBooks or Xero daily, so month-end reconciliation takes hours instead of days.

Website to CRM

Form fills, chat leads and booking requests landing in your CRM with source tracking and the right owner assigned.

Payments to fulfillment

A successful Stripe payment triggers account creation, a welcome email and a task for the onboarding team.

Multi-channel inventory

Stock levels synced between your warehouse system, online store and marketplaces to stop overselling.

What you receive at handover

  • A data map showing every field, its source and its destination
  • Source code in a repository you own
  • API documentation in OpenAPI format for custom endpoints
  • A runbook covering credentials, error alerts and how to pause a flow
  • Logs showing every sync, retry and failure
  • A recorded walkthrough for your team

Questions we get about API integration services

What if the software we use doesn’t have an API?

Some tools offer CSV exports, email notifications or database access we can work with instead. As a last resort we can use RPA to work the interface directly, though we’ll explain the reliability trade-off first.

Who maintains the integration after launch?

We do, as part of a monthly support scope, or we hand over documented code to your developers. Vendors change their APIs from time to time, so some ongoing monitoring is wise either way.

Should we use Zapier or a custom integration?

Zapier, Make and n8n are a good fit for low-volume flows with simple logic, and your team can edit them later. Custom code makes more sense for high volumes, complex data reshaping or when per-task fees keep climbing. We’ll price both options in the proposal when either could work.

How do you handle security and credentials?

API keys and tokens are stored in a secrets manager or encrypted environment variables, never in code repositories. Access is scoped to the minimum each integration needs.

How are API integration projects priced?

They’re priced after a free review of the systems involved. You get a fixed scope and price for the build and a separate monthly figure for monitoring and support.
