Short-Form Video Editing

A short form video editing service that turns footage you already have into Reels, YouTube Shorts and TikToks, with captions, tight cuts and a hook in the first second.

What our short form video editing service does

Short-form video editing is cutting raw footage into vertical videos under a couple of minutes, built for feeds where people decide in a second whether to keep watching. We edit Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, YouTube Shorts and TikToks from footage you send us.

We don’t film. You or your team record on a phone, a webinar platform or a camera, upload the files to a shared folder, and we handle the rest: selecting the best moments, cutting, captioning, adding b-roll and music, and exporting for each platform.

Most businesses already have more usable footage than they think: job site clips, product demos, webinar recordings, podcast episodes, event videos and phone recordings of the founder explaining something.

What every edited video includes

A hook in the first second

We open on the most interesting line or visual, with on-screen text that tells viewers why to keep watching.

Burned-in captions

Styled captions in your brand fonts and colors, checked word by word, because many people watch with the sound off.

Tight cuts

Pauses, filler words and repeated takes removed so the video moves at the pace short-form viewers expect.

B-roll and graphics

Product shots, screen recordings, simple text graphics and your logo added where they help explain the point.

Licensed music and sound

Background tracks from licensed libraries or platform sound libraries, mixed so speech stays clear.

Cover frames and exports

A branded cover frame for your Instagram grid, and 9:16 exports at the right settings for Reels, Shorts and TikTok.

How Reels editing works with us

  1. Agree your video style We set caption style, colors, intro and outro treatment and a few reference videos you like, so every edit looks consistent.
  2. Upload footage Drop raw clips into a shared Google Drive or Dropbox folder with a short note on what each one is about.
  3. Pick the moments We review the footage and use AI transcription in tools like Descript to find the strongest short segments in longer recordings.
  4. Edit and caption Editors cut the videos in Premiere Pro or CapCut, add captions, b-roll and music, and write the post caption.
  5. You review You watch drafts in the shared folder and leave timestamped notes. We revise and send finals.
  6. Publish or hand off We schedule the videos through Meta Business Suite and YouTube Studio as part of your plan, or deliver final files for your team to post.

Footage that makes good short-form video

Webinars and podcasts

One long recording can give you a month of clips, each answering a single question.

Job sites and before-and-afters

Contractors and restoration companies show the work in progress and the finished result.

Product demos

Quick clips showing a product in use, one feature per video.

Founder explainers

The founder talking to a phone camera about a common customer question, edited into a clean, captioned clip.

Where short-form video fits your plan

Video slots into the monthly calendar alongside graphics and carousels. Most clients add it to Instagram management or Facebook page management, since one Reel can go to both through Meta Business Suite.

Edited clips also make good ad creative. If you run paid campaigns, our social media advertising team can test your best-performing Reels as ads. The full service is described on our social media management page.

Questions we get about short-form video editing

Do you film videos?

No. We edit footage you provide. We can send you a simple shot list and phone recording tips so your raw clips are easier to edit well.

What footage formats can you work with?

Phone video, camera files, Zoom and webinar recordings, and podcast video all work. Vertical footage is easiest, but we can reframe horizontal footage to 9:16 when the subject stays centered.

How long are the videos?

Most are well under a minute, because short videos are easier to watch to the end. We’ll go longer when the content earns it.

Can the same video go to Instagram, YouTube Shorts and TikTok?

Yes. We export one master edit at 9:16 and adjust captions and safe zones so text isn’t covered by each app’s buttons.

How is video editing priced?

By the number of videos per month and how much editing each needs. Use the social media pricing calculator to estimate your plan.
